One of the most important and perhaps understated challenges of electrical work is learning & retaining the layouts of job sites, says Trevor. In this popular video, Trevor shows how he troubleshooted a sticky limit switch. This gate’s position feedback was thrown off, causing the gate to continue trying to close after it had already reached its closed limit. The gate would open just fine with noticeable change in feedback. However, it would not try to close. The internal moisture/seepage froze the limit switch in its actuated position, which told the system that the gate was closed and not to try. How would you handle this sticky situation?
