The Rosendin Foundation recently announced its largest grant distribution, awarding $2.3 million to 116 nonprofits. The record-breaking amount is nearly quadruple last year's distribution of $640,000 to 73 nonprofits, representing a significant increase in The Rosendin Foundation’s commitment to supporting local nonprofit organizations that focus on emotional, nutritional, and occupational health.
The Rosendin Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that brings together construction professionals to impact communities through financial grants and volunteer work. This year, it received 277 applications requesting over $7.7 million. The board selected 70 new nonprofits and 46 previous recipients that had the greatest need and impact on the community to receive the funds.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate the local nonprofits that will receive grants and look forward to seeing the positive impact these funds will have,” said Jolsna Thomas, president of The Rosendin Foundation, the press release. “Investing in local nonprofits is a way of planting seeds of opportunity, ensuring that vital programs have the necessary support to make a lasting impact and significant difference in communities.”
Some of the recipients receiving $50,000 grants include: LifeMoves in North California to support the unhoused; Central California Food Bank to support food distributions; Habilitat in Hawaii to support the rebuilding of the Ke Ala ‘Ike knowledge center; Assistance League of Las Vegas to provide new clothing to students; Home Plate Youth Services in Oregon to support feeding unhoused youth; and LAWS Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services in Virginia to support a new domestic violence shelter.
The Rosendin Foundation supports local nonprofits around the country, and since its inception, has donated over $4.2M to 296 nonprofit organizations that promote emotional, nutritional, and occupational health programs. The Foundation impacts these organizations by organizing volunteer service days and/or drives and providing financial grants and donations of up to $50,000 per organization.
On September 23, 144 golfers, 22 volunteers, and 54 company sponsors raised over $200,000 at The Rosendin Foundation’s 3nd Annual Golf Tournament and Auction at the We-Ko-Pa Golf Club in Fort McDowell, Ariz. During the reception, Thomas recognized the event’s top sponsors who make significant donations including annual sponsors Rosendin, Modular Power Solutions, Milwaukee Tools, and DeWalt as well as Presenting sponsors Border States and Sunbelt Rentals. Funding comes primarily from contributions by Rosendin Holdings, the parent company of Rosendin, one of the nation’s largest design-build specialty electrical contractors, and Modular Power Solutions (MPS), one of the nation’s largest electrical manufacturing companies, as well as employees, retirees, and Foundation fundraisers.
