The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently announced the Top 10 most frequently cited workplace safety standards for 2024. The preliminary data was presented at the 2024 National Safety Council (NSC) Safety Congress & Expo by Scott Ketchum, the director of the directorate of enforcement programs for OSHA, together with Safety+Health magazine.
For the fourteenth year in a row, Fall Protection — General Requirements clinched the top spot. In fact, the top three spots are identical to last year's results, with Hazard Communication ranking at No. 2 and Ladders coming in at No. 3. The rest of the seven Top 10 positions are the same categories but with the order shifted slightly.
