WalletHub recently released a report detailing a ranking of the 100 largest cities in the United States on how well they promote an environmentally friendly lifestyle. Its experts determined these rankings based on 28 key “green” indicators, such as greenhouse gas emissions per capita, percentage of green space, percentage of commuters who drive vehicles, bike score, farmers markets per capita, number of smart energy policies, and more.
In this photo gallery, we’ve included the Top 10 cities that promote green living based on WalletHub’s findings – and it’s no surprise to the editors of EC&M that several California and West Coast cities claimed these spots. To check out all 100 rankings, you can view WalletHub’s full report.
