Ballast checker

The Ballast Checker is a hand-held device designed to identify a ballast’s technology type for use in confirming ballast status and pinpointing lighting upgrade opportunities. When pointed at a fixture, the analysis tool will turn green if the light source is powered by a high-frequency electronic ballast and orange if it’s powered by a magnetic ballast. Compact and lightweight, it can operate at up to 15 ft from a light source and comes installed with long-life batteries.
