The editors of EC&M returned from San Diego last week after attending a great NECA show. Between visiting booths, handing out freebies at the EC&M booth, checking out new product innovations, and attending educational sessions, they stayed busy — check out the videos below to hear a quick summary of their NECA 2024 highlights.
Editor-in-Chief Ellen Parson filled her time with booth visits, but one of her favorite parts of the show was debuting The Everyday Electrician®, Trevor Ottmann! She had the chance to do some Instagram Lives on the first and second days of the show. But overall, Ellen felt like it was a great show with steady traffic flow from attendees.
And here's a fun fact — she filmed this video from the San Diego airport on her way back home to Kansas City!
EC&M Editor Michael Morris also had a blast at the show. His main focus was seeing what was new when it came to product innovations, and he made a couple of galleries with his finds from the show floor. In this video, he chats about some of the major trends he witnessed, including AI technology and continued electric vehicle growth. Michael's favorite find might have been ABB's NASCAR electric vehicle!
Ellie Coggins, managing editor, spent most of her time at the EC&M booth. Being able to connect with readers and introduce people to both EC&M and the Everyday Electrician® was certainly her favorite part of this year's NECA event. She also enjoyed attending the Day 2 general session, where the leaders of NEMRA, NAED, NEMA, and NECA discussed their coalition and the future of the electrical industry.
