Based on updated research from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in its Occupational Employment and Wages Study from May 2020 report, southern states overall continue to pay electricians less for their work. The latest data reveals very similar results to 2019's rankings, with the exception of North Carolina and Florida swapping spots. However, these four states (and one U.S. territory) remain the lowest-compensating states for electricians overall. Check out the rankings in descending order, keeping in mind that they do not take cost of living into consideration.
