Explanation: Section 300.25 of the NEC limits wiring within exit stair enclosures to only what is necessary to serve equipment associated with the stair enclosure. This is a new requirement in the 2020 NEC but has been previously required by the NFPA 101, Life Safety Code NFPA, Sec. 7.1.3.2.1(10)(b).
