Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission to create an electrical training committee

According to a recent Code Alert from the National Electrical Manufacturer’s Association (NEMA), the Oklahoma Uniform Building Code Commission (OUBCC) is creating an Electrical Technician Committee (ETC) to review the 2020 edition of the NEC. They are calling for volunteers to fill positions on the committee, which is expected to review the 2020 NEC, determine if it should be adopted by the OUBCC, and propose any modifications needed to address specific needs of the state of Oklahoma. Meetings will be held in Oklahoma City and are open to the public. Anyone interested in applying can fill out this application, which is due by Jan. 31, 2020.
