With the upcoming holiday, here's a little trivia to see how much you actually know about Thanksgiving. Although little is actually known about what transpired on the “First Thanksgiving,” because there are only two written accounts (one by William Bradford and the other by Edward Winslow) of the event, we do know the feast between the Pilgrims and the Wampanoag Indians occurred in 1621 in Plymouth Colony (present-day Massachusetts) in celebration of a successful harvest. However, some accounts put that date as late as 1623. Although it is disputed whether wild turkey was served or not, documentation suggests the first Thanksgiving featured waterfowl, venison, fish, lobster, clams, fruit, and vegetables.
