Alaska, "The Last Frontier" state, has officially overtaken California (which held the spot for the last two years) as the highest-paying state int he country for electrical engineers, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (Occupational Employment and Wages Study from May 2016). If you're an electrical engineer looking for the highest pay, it looks like a move to one of these states might be in your future (although these numbers don't account for cost of living differences).
