See which U.S. states are lacking when it comes to compensating electricians.

Electricians in the South tend to make less money than their counterparts across much of the nation. Based on updated research from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in its Occupational Employment and Wages Study from May 2019 report, southern states overall continue to pay electricians less for their work. Unlike the District of Columbia (the highest-paying area for electricians), Florida and several other southern states (plus one American territory) fall at the low end of the pay scale. Check out the rankings in descending order, keeping in mind that they do not take cost of living into consideration.
