2020’s 30 Under 30 EC&M Electrical All Stars: Peter Pacholczuk

May 21, 2020

Peter Pacholczuk
Job Title: Project Manager, National Accounts
Company: Facility Solutions Group
Location: Dallas
Age: 28
Years on the Job: 4
Interests: Spending time with his son and friends, playing and watching sports, going to concerts, camping, and traveling on road trips.

While working for four years as a journeyman electrician in the commercial construction industry, Peter Pacholczuk gained education and experience through the North Texas Joint Electrical Apprenticeship Program.

“I studied all aspects of electrical construction,” he says. “It made me a well-rounded electrician. I can approach different types of electrical work, briefly study the subject matter, and bring myself up to speed to cater to most situations.”

Early on in his career, he was exposed to different areas of the industry, and he never stayed in a static environment. Once he grasped one concept, he would move on to a different job and learn a new skill set and how to apply it.

In his current job at Facility Solutions Group (FSG), he takes field calls from electricians during his morning commute. Once he arrives at the office, he focuses on key issues first, allowing him and his team to work out a solution before the end of the day. He then shifts into a production mode by creating proposals, running project reports, and ordering materials. At the end of the day, he reviews the tasks on the schedule.

“I enjoy being able to work through a complex issue, whether it is a technical problem in the field or an operational one in the office,” he says.

At present, he is managing several LED retrofit projects to provide turnkey solutions to the customers through labor, products, scheduling, and logistics. In the next decade, he is striving to run the department and give the employees guidance through obstacles they encounter in the industry.

“His management skills have grown as he tracks project costs, directs schedules and supervises contractors in the field,” says Shelly Nixon, marketing manager for FSG.
