Samuel Bushay may only be 22 years old, but he has already served in the electrical industry for six years. By staying committed to his schooling, he graduated at the age of 16 and landed his first job in the trade.

“I became fascinated with the electrical industry at a very young age,” Bushay says. “My father worked in an electrical department and taught me the basics. He is probably the one who inspired my initial love for the electrical trade.”

Bushay was born in Melbourne, Fla., but he was raised in metro Atlanta and currently resides in Alpharetta, Ga. During his early career, most of his knowledge came from on-the-job experience and training.

“I was fortunate to have a great mentor who instilled in me the importance of taking pride in my work and performing a quality installation,” Bushay says.

He says he has had a passion for the electrical industry since the first time he stepped foot on a project.

“I knew that this was what I wanted to do and set forth on a path to make my vision a reality,” he says. “I was fortunate enough to find a position in a great company that allowed and encouraged my growth.”

Bushay, who is OSHA 30 certified, has had the opportunity to work in various roles in the field, including electrician, foreman, superintendent, and service technician.

As the preconstruction manager, he is responsible for the entirety of the preconstruction cycle up to the point of handing the project over to operations.

“It’s definitely a challenging and exhilarating role,” Bushay says. “I love to provide great customer service and develop relationships by really becoming a partner to our clients.”
