Last year turned out to be a stellar year for most of EC&M's 2020 Top 50 Electrical Contractors, considering the fact that, as a group, they hit a combined revenue total of $32.7 billion in 2019 (the calendar year 2020's rankings are based on) — a 14% increase from the previous year. In addition to the annual survey results, presented in the charts and graphs, we decided to also feature a sampling of some of the notable electrical projects Top 50 companies worked on in 2019.
For the fourth year in a row, data center/mission critical construction and health care held their place as the top two markets bringing in the greatest dollar volume of projects in 2019, followed by education/institution, private office, and power.
