A high school in Indiana was evacuated last week after a suspicious package was found outside the building. A teacher noticed the package under a bush. School officials made the decision to evacuate students for their safety.
According to a report from WSBT 22 News, a Goshen, Indiana, K-9 unit discovered the package had electrical wires or components, so the Elkhart Police Department Bomb Squad was called to assist. Officers found the package was an electrical lighting device that was left behind by an electrician doing work at the school.
The worker left the box under the bush so it was "out of the way" while he took his lunch, the report said.
