Just because these metropolitan areas have less than 1 million in population doesn't mean they aren't growing like crazy.

Not every booming city is massive — in fact, some of the nation's fasting growing metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) have less than 1 million in population. Like the top 10 fastest-growing large metropolitan areas, some of these small metropolitan cities are tracking well above the year-over-year (YOY) or year-to-date (YTD) growth rates of their states as well as the nation as a whole.
