According to the latest data from Kelley Blue Book, a Cox Automotive company, a record-breaking nearly 1.2 million U.S. vehicle buyers chose to go electric last year. Electric vehicles (EVs) represent the fastest-growing car sales category, holding a 7.6% share of the total U.S. vehicle market in 2023, up from 5.9% in 2022.
The Joint Office of Energy and Transportation announced nearly $150 million is being put to work by 24 grant recipients across 20 states. The Electric Vehicle Charger Reliability and Accessibility Accelerator funding, awarded by the Biden-Harris Administration, will replace or repair roughly 4,500 existing electric vehicle (EV) charging ports.
