Article 393 of the 2017 NEC covers the installation of low-voltage suspended ceiling power distribution systems. As specifically noted in Sec. 393.21(A), “A disconnecting means for the Class 2 supply to the power grid system for low-voltage suspended ceiling power distribution systems shall be located as to be accessible and within sight of the Class 2 power source for servicing or maintenance of the grid system.”
