Just like last year, California's still the highest-paying state for electrical engineers, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (Occupational Employment and Wages Study from May 2015). In fact, the top five states stayed the same — only switching the order they were ranked. If you're an electrical engineer looking for the highest compensation rates, the Golden State is still your best bet (although these numbers don't account for cost of living differences).
