Moving Violations Video No. 270: UF Wiring Concerns

Sept. 1, 2022
Russ points out two violations associated with the wiring at an outdoor luminaire location.

In this episode, Russ points out two violations associated with the wiring at an outdoor luminaire location. First, the sharp bends in the UF cable are most likely a violation of  Sec. 340.24 of the 2020 NEC. Secondly, the exposed UF cable is certainly subject to physical damage, which is a violation of Sec. 340.12(10). Russ also has concerns with the non-insulated staples that were used to secure the cable to the wood beams.
