Lighting Controls Association, DALI Alliance Partner to Further Lighting Control Awareness
The DALI Alliance (DiiA) and the Lighting Controls Association (LCA) announced a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to educate the public about lighting controls and promote the use of lighting-control systems in different applications, including solutions based on the Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) protocol.
Under the MOU, the organizations will respectively share information with the public that spreads awareness of the application and benefits of lighting controls, including DALI-based lighting control using certified DALI-2 and D4i components.
“The Lighting Controls Association is pleased to collaborate with the DiiA on advancing knowledge about advanced lighting control solutions,” said Charles Knuffke, systems vice president and evangelist at Legrand Wattstopper and chair of the LCA.
Paul Drosihn, general manager of the DALI Alliance, added: “We look forward to working with the LCA to highlight the many advantages of deploying digital lighting-control solutions that are based on international standards.”
A council of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, the LCA is a manufacturer consortium dedicated to public education and category promotion focused on lighting controls. The DALI Alliance is the global industry organization for DALI, the internationally standardized protocol for digital communication between lighting control devices.
