Nominations are open on the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation's website to be a part of the The Electric Vehicle Working Group (EVWG).
According to the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation's website, The EVWG was established on June 8, 2022, pursuant to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, enacted as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (Public Law 117-58). The EV Working Group operates in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), as amended, 5 U.S.C. App.
The EVWG Charter and EVWG Membership Balance Plan provide details on the scope and membership of the EV Working Group.
The activities of the EVWG include:
- Making recommendations regarding the development, adoption, and integration of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty electric vehicles into the transportation and energy systems of the United States
- Coordinating and consulting with any existing federal interagency working groups on fleet conversion or other similar matters relating to electric vehicles
- Reporting to the Secretaries of Energy and Transportation
