When it comes to pulling down the highest annual salaries and hourly wages, electrical engineers and electricians shared only one state in common (Alaska). Based on the latest research (May 2014) from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in its Occupational Employment and Wages Study, the West and East Coasts dominate this list, leaving only Illinois as a compensation leader in the Midwest.
