Age: 25
Years on the Job: 4

Ryan Hildebrandt has always enjoyed working with his hands, building things, and developing processes. As he developed professionally through his college career, he discovered the electrical construction industry aligned very well with his passions. After he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in operations/project management from St. Cloud University, Hildebrandt took on a position as an intern at Parsons Electric.

“My time at college helped me develop my internal processes for organization and time management, all of which are a needed strength in the industry,” Hildebrandt says.

Now a project manager for Parsons Electric, he is continuing his knowledge by attending seminars and online courses and asking questions when he needs help.

“My responsibilities have changed into more of a planning role where we are planning drawings and working weeks or months in advance,” says Hildebrandt, who is serving as a project manager on a data center project in southern Nevada.

In the future, he sees himself as either a senior project manager or in a position to assist the company lead. To achieve this goal, he will demonstrate how to create a more efficient and streamlined delivery model through perseverance.

Construction Executive Mike Kunz says Hildebrandt has helped to close the communication gap between management staff and field employees with smart devices using innovative programs. For example, he has set up, implemented, and trained the employees on systems that revolutionize the way the company prefabs, orders material, tracks progress, submits RFIs, and communicates.

“This has had a great impact on our overall production and allows us to reduce or reallocate resources to other projects,” Kunz says. “We can now do more with less, which is invaluable in this market where resources are scarce. Ryan is a forward-thinking individual and goes above and beyond every day.”
