OVERVIEW:
During this 1 hour webinar, Gary Fox, P.E., from GE Consumer and Industrial will review modern equipment techniques that can be used to mitigate the risk of arc flash. The presentation will review recent customer research findings on the subject of arc flash awareness, techniques for reducing the risk in existing installations, and designing for new installations.

The webinar will conclude with an overview of the latest technological breakthrough in low-voltage switchgear design - Entellisys(TM) Low Voltage Switchgear. Since its launch in late 2005, Entellisys has been installed in nearly 30 customer locations and has been re-ordered by customers on numerous occasions. Entellisys provides features that address the safety, reliability and flexibility needs of plant managers and engineers.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Gary H. Fox received his BSEE from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1978.

He has been employed by General Electric Company for 29 years. His current assignment is a Specification Engineer for GE Consumer & Industrial in Concord, CA, providing application and technical support for power distribution/control equipment and lighting. Previous assignments included experience in field testing and maintenance of power equipment, project management, and power system analysis.

Mr. Fox is a Senior member of the IEEE Industry Applications (IAS) and IEEE Power Engineering Societies and has been an active participant in the IEEE since 1989. He has authored several papers on protective relay application and surge protection. The IEEE officer positions he has held include Chair for the San Francisco Chapter, IAS; Chair, San Francisco Section; and Chair, San Francisco Bay Area Council. He was a recipient of the IEEE Third Millennium Medal. He has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1982.
