The Electronic Security Association has launched GetIntoSecurity.com, the first website devoted exclusively to careers in the electronic security industry.
GetIntoSecurity.com is a comprehensive and multi-faceted resource for individuals who are exploring career opportunities and want to learn about this technology sector, one with which they may not be familiar.
"The electronic life safety, security and integrated systems market is growing at a rapid pace, offering cutting-edge technology such as mobile interactive services, wearable monitoring devices, biometric access control devices and cloud based video surveillance systems," said ESA president Marshall Marinace. "Beyond the exciting technology aspects of the industry, those seeking careers in the industry are enticed by the many high-paying and rewarding job opportunities that exist. This website makes it very clear that today’s electronic security industry is not your grandparents' security industry."
GetIntoSecurity.com features a career spotlight section that lets users match their skills to job titles like home automation consultant, calibration software engineer, security sales, technical support rep, security technician, retention representative and others. The site also includes video testimonials from successful security professionals, a resources section for job hunters, a resources section for career and guidance counselors, and descriptions of the types of security industry jobs available to students, military veterans, retirees, and people seeking "new beginnings."
A “Jobs in Security” section on the GetIntoSecurity.com website links directly to the Security Industry Recruiting Center, which serves as the premier recruiting resource for the electronic security industry. This site, which “connects people to their career in security,” features interactive, keyword-based and location-based job search functionality. The Security Industry Recruiting Center accessible through the site showcases current job listings, and places to store and post resumes and cover letters. GetIntoSecurity.com also allows users to find security companies in their area, enabling them to seek out additional career opportunities in their backyard.
