Electrical Contractor Killed in Electrical Accident at School

The man was a K-Bar Texas Electric employee.

An electrical contractor was killed this week while working on lighting outside a school district building in Texas. According to a report by KCBD, the man was a K-Bar Texas Electric employee. The company was independently contracted by Sundown Independent School District to work on lighting.

The Superintendent of Schools for Sundown ISD issued this statement on Wednesday:

"The health and safety of students at Sundown Independent School District is paramount. Therefore, the District wishes to assure parents and the community that, at no time, were students in the vicinity during this injury, nor at any risk of harm. It is also our understanding that students were not in a position to observe the incident.

"Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to this worker's family."
