Arkansas State Inmate Electrocuted in Construction Accident

Richard W. Eaton, 38, was electrocuted while working on a metal ceiling.

An Arkansas Department of Correction inmate died Monday afternoon in a construction accident at the department's Ester Unit in Pine Bluff. 

According to a report from the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Richard W. Eaton, 38, was electrocuted while working on a metal ceiling at the unit. He was pronounced dead at 3:49 p.m. Monday.

Arkansas State Police are investigating Eaton's death.
