OSHA’s Top 10 Violations of 2015

Nov. 12, 2015
See which categories posted the most frequent violations in 2015 compared to 2014.

OSHA unveiled its preliminary Top 10 list of most cited violations for fiscal year 2015 at the National Safety Council (NSC) Congress and Expo in late September on the exposition show floor. The announcement was made by NSC president and CEO Deborah A.P. Hersman. Once again, fall protection topped the list.

Although this annual list of the most frequently cited violations typically features the same hazard categories from year to year, the rankings always change. This year, the top six categories remained the same. In fact, eight of the 10 categories held the same position as last year. Two violations switched positions at the number seven and eight spots — Ladders and Electrical Wiring Methods. Unfortunately, the Electrical Wiring Category moved up one position from last year.
