D. An external bonding jumper to connect the switch yoke to any nearby grounding electrode or grounded surface.

 

Answer: C

Article 404 covers switches. As noted in the second paragraph of 404.12, "… a wiring method that provides or includes an equipment grounding conductor" is acceptable.
