A. Optical fiber cables

B. Conductors for operating devices, operation and motion control, signaling and fire alarm

C. Conductors for power, heating, lighting and air-conditioning circuits

D. All of the above are permitted

E. You are not permitted to install conductors of different systems in the same raceway or cable

Answer: D

Article 620 of the 2011 NEC focuses on elevators, dumbwaiters, escalators, moving walks, platform lifts, and stairway chairlifts. The requirements of 620.36 supersede those rules outlined in300.3(C). Therefore, conductors of different systems are permitted to be installed in one raceway, or in this case, traveling cable for elevator installations in accordance with 620.36. Optical fiber cables, conductors for operating devices, operation and motion control, signaling and fire alarm, and conductors for power, heating, lighting, and air-conditioning circuits are permitted to be installed together in one raceway or cable.
