Per a change in Sec. 225.27 of the 2011 NEC, a seal is now required at either or both ends of a raceway(s) entering a building or structure from an underground distribution system that encloses feeder or branch circuit conductors in accordance with 300.5(G). The sealing material may be something as simple as "duxseal" or other approved material; however, the sealant shall be identified for the cable insulation, shield, or other components.
