According to the company, the coating makes wire pulling on small size EMT (½ in. to 1 in.) up to 20% faster and also facilitates pushing conductor. The coating is standard on all of the company’s EMT from ½ in. to 4 in., including Color Check and 20-ft models.

Lithium-Ion Batteries

Ultra-M 4.0Ah lithium-ion batteries run 33% longer and have a 33% greater lifespan than traditional rechargeable batteries, according the company. Available on a variety of the company’s cordless power tools, including the W18 LTX 4 ½-in. angle grinder, the SB18 LTX ½-in. hammer drill, and the BS18 LTX drill/driver, the batteries don’t have a memory effect, allowing them to be charged at the user’s convenience without waiting for the battery to totally discharge. The product also features air-cooled charging technology that cools the battery pack to a level temperature during charging via guided air flow ducting.

The Carlon Recessed Dual Voltage (RDV) 3-Gang Old Work Plate facilitates installation of wall-mounted flat panel displays. Able to accommodate high- and low-voltage wires, cables, and cords, the device features a 2-gang, low-voltage opening and a 1-gang opening for a Carlon B114R or B120R old work box. A template assists with mounting, and the high-gloss, recessed design blends with any décor and conceals wires, cables, cords, and plug heads.

Switched Combiner

The Eaton Switched Combiner (ESC) comprises a 600VDC solar disconnect and source-combiner box in one enclosure. The UL1741-listed device provides a single point to combine incoming PV strings and DC power close to the PV modules and incorporates a traditional, side-operated UL 98 design quick-make, quick-break, heavy-duty safety switch main disconnect. Fusible versions feature one set of fuse clips mounted on the center pole, allowing complete isolation of the fuse when the switch is in the OFF position. Input fuse holders are hard bussed to the main disconnect. Options include surge protection, current monitoring, and wireless communication.
