Insteon technology protocol offers dual-band communications
Smarthome recently made available the white paper regarding its Insteon networking technology. Using dual-band — powerline and radio frequency — communications, Insteon links together home systems, such as lighting, security, consumer electronics, and appliances.
Insteon devices can transmit, receive, and repeat other messages without requiring a master controller or complex routing software.
