Rather than featuring one product per day, Editor-in-Chief Mike Eby is scouring through the hundreds of product submissions we receive each month to bring you what he considers the most noteworthy offerings.

Fluke’s 1736 and 1738 portable 3-phase power loggers allow you to track and monitor energy use throughout a facility. You can place it at the main service or move it downstream to panels or individual pieces of equipment.

The units automatically capture and log more than 500 power quality parameters to give technicians and engineers more visibility into the data needed to make better power quality and energy consumption decisions. The power trend graphs that it produces will help you pinpoint a number of different energy cost-saving opportunities.

1736 and 1738 3-phase power loggers

Designed to capture and log voltage, current, power, harmonics, and associated power quality values, the product delivers comprehensive data for load studies, energy assessments, harmonic measurements, and voltage event. I like how you can quickly chart and graph measurements and pass these along to other members on your team, or your client. That’s a great feature of these units. The Energy Analyze Plus software package also helps you create all types of high-quality professional reports. If you’re looking for a unit that can perform more advanced power quality analysis, then turn your attention to the 1738 model.

Both models feature an optimized user interface, flexible current probes, and an intelligent measurement verification function designed to reduce measurement errors by digitally verifying and correcting common connection errors. Set up can be further simplified by powering the logger directly from the measured circuit.

In addition, the power loggers work with the Fluke Connect system of software and wireless test tools. Fluke Connect tools allow you to wirelessly transmit measurement data from your test tools to your smartphones for secure storage on the Fluke Connect Cloud and team access from the field.
