This stairwell luminaire provides 24/7 illumination in compliance with the ASHRAE/IES 90.1-2010 building standard. The luminaire is UL-listed for indoor use only, is designed for wall-mount applications only, and accommodates two or three lamps (T8 lamps not supplied) that operate on 120V/277V circuits. Features include a corrosion-resistant housing, fixture housing channel ends, and lamp socket brackets manufactured from 22-gauge carbon steel pre-painted with a highly reflective white finish. In addition, a lamp conditioning circuit operates lamps at 100% before allowing the lighting control to switch into full occupancy operating mode, while an optional emergency battery backup is ensures emergency lighting is available in the event of a power outage — even if the luminaire is not on an emergency circuit.
