This enhanced version of the Hercules junction box features a standardized exterior geometry for automated assembly, making it suitable for use on rigid silicon panels used in PV applications. Featuring rear alignment with tape and tabs to maintain a low breakage rate during robotic assembly, the 117-mm × 107-mm × 22-mm box includes a sealed design with improved heat dissipation, according to the company. In addition, the product offers either a spring clamp termination with leads that clamp to the inside of the junction box or the ability to terminate leads with solder. Other features include a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, a current rating of 20A, and a rated voltage of 1,000VDC and 600VDC.
