The CableData Collector identifies defects in live cables of distribution voltages.
The instrument tests for partial discharge (PD) activity by measuring radio frequency currents. Designed to work with most types of single- and three-phase insulated cables at distribution voltages up to several miles/kilometers in length, information about PD activity is recorded by the product’s hardware and can be sent to the company for expert analysis. Alternatively, users can buy a software package to perform their own data analysis.
