Ray Stewart, an estimator/project manager for the Johnson Group of Kentucky, Louisville, Ky., offered these comments. “Per 334.12(B)4, Romex is not permitted where exposed or subject to excessive moisture or dampness. In addition, this does not look like a temporary installation.”

Rick Thurman, IBEW JW, certified electrical inspector and JATC instructor, added this: “I found the photo of the outside light to offer the following Code violations: Secs. 110.12, 225.10, 225.20, 410.4, 410.22, 410.24, 410.28.”
