Q. When installing a manufactured wiring system, which uses a 4-conductor 10 AWG MC cable, what are the securing requirements for this type of cable?

A. At intervals not to exceed 6 ft, and within 12 in of every box, cabinet, fitting, or other cable termination.

B. At intervals not to exceed 1.8 m, and within 300 mm of every box, cabinet, fitting, or other cable termination.

C. At intervals not to exceed  4 1//2 ft,  and within  6 in of every box, cabinet, fitting, or other cable termination.

D. A or B

Answer: D

As noted in 604.7, "Manufactured wiring systems shall be secured and supported in accordance with the applicable cable or conduit article for the cable or conduit type employed." Referring to Sec. 330.30(B) for metal-clad cable (Type MC), we see that the intervals noted in answers A and B match this section of the Code.
