Power Measurement Ltd., a leading provider of enterprise energy management systems, has signed an agreement with Liebert HIROSS of Milan, Italy, to extend its ION® technology to the Liebert HIROSS Hipulse and Series 7200 line of uninterruptible power systems (UPS). Under the terms of the agreement, Liebert HIROSS will use the Power Measurement ION 7500™ and ION 7350™ intelligent metering and control devices to add monitoring and control functions to its new HiView devices. According to Bretislav Sklenak, Vice President (UPS Business Unit) for Liebert HIROSS, the combined solution will enable users to monitor and display system-critical information both on site and remotely.
"This extended functionality is a crucial part of our strategy to offer our customers a valued-added power-quality solution," said Sami S. Kar, International Marketing Manager (Power UPS Division) for Liebert HIROSS. "We needed a solution that would enable our customers to monitor and verify the availability and reliability of their critical power systems. Power Measurement's ION metering technology provided that solution," added Michele Martiradonna, Product Manager for Software and Communications in Liebert HIROSS.
Rudi Carolsfeld, European Business Development Manager for Power Measurement said, "We're excited to have Liebert HIROSS adopt our metering technology for their mission-critical power system solutions. Many people invest in UPS systems without realizing that they also need an instrumentation panel to monitor and verify its operation as a component of their overall power system. Liebert HIROSS is showing their commitment to their customers by including this technology in their product line."
