The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) recently published ANSI/NEMA HP 3-2012, "Electrical and Electronic Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Insulated High-Temperature Hook-Up Wire, Types ET (250V), E (600V) and EE (1,000V)." This standards publication covers specific requirements for PTFE-insulated solid and stranded wire designed for the internal wiring of high reliability electrical and electronic equipment. It addresses 250V (Type ET), 600V (Type E), and 1,000V (Type EE) wire and permits continuous conductor temperature ratings of -65°C to +200°C with silver-coated conductors and -65°C to +260°C with nickel-coated conductors.
