Houston-based Dow Wire and Cable Business will adjust the net pricing of its products, effective Jan. 1, 2010. This action, according to the company, is driven by a combination of critical industry fundamentals, among them, increased crude oil volatility, and the increasing costs of basic raw materials.

Net pricing of compounds will change as follows:

  • Telecommunications, low-voltage, and jacketing products will increase $0.06 per pound net.
  • Medium-voltage and high-voltage products (including insulation and semicons) will increase $0.10 per pound net.
  • Fire-retardant grades will increase $0.20 per pound net.
