Milwaukee-based Brady Worldwide, Inc. recently announced the launch of its new transactional Web site. The site features online ordering, custom product design, easy navigation, and enhanced search functionality. It also offers a wide variety of industry resources, including best practice information, regulations and compliance updates, video demonstrations, educational whitepapers, and case studies.

The new site is a user-friendly, customer-centric Web site that houses information on Brady products, services, and support, as well as customer resources. Prior to designing the Web site, Brady conducted extensive research on customer purchasing behavior and user testing. Brady also worked closely with its distribution partners to integrate them into the buying process and enhance the customer experience for those purchasing through their preferred distribution channel.

As a result of this research, the Web site was built with a variety of new technologies and resources, including several new purchasing options.

The Web site gives customers four different options to buy products from Brady:

  • Secure Online Ordering: Customers browse through the online product catalog, add products to their shopping cart, choose their authorized Brady distributor, and order from Brady's Web site.
  • Create a Bill of Materials: Customers have the ability to create an itemized checklist of Brady products online. This checklist, or bill of materials, can then be sent via e-mail or printed and faxed to a Brady distributor. The bill of materials can also serve as documentation for a customer's purchasing agent or department for approval.
  • Request a Catalog: Customers can submit an online request to have a Brady product catalog mailed to their facility or view a digital edition of the catalog online.
  • Find a Distributor: Customers can use an intuitive new Distributor Locator to find a Brady-authorized distributor that is most convenient for them.
One of the most highly anticipated features of the new site is the custom product design center, which allows customers to design Brady products to their specific requirements. Customers can design custom traffic signs, safety signs, valve tags, property ID tags, and pipe markers. Depending on the product, customers can pick the size, color, material, pictograms, and style of their Brady product and enter in their own custom text. The made-to-order process lets customers see their product as they create it, and real-time pricing is provided for every product and quantity. Customers simply design their sign, tag. or pipe marker; submit their finalized design online; and the product will be shipped directly to the facility within 24-48 hours.

With a robust new search engine and easy-to-use online product catalog, Brady's new Web site is a convenient resource for customers looking for Brady product information, demonstrations, and pricing. The online catalog is designed to provide more transparency into the product lines, making it easier and faster for customers to find the exact product that they need.

In addition to product information, the Web site also contains a section entitled "Industry Expertise," where customers can find a variety of educational resources and best practices for their specific industry. The site contains industry information for Brady's leading markets, including: hospital facility safety, laboratory identification and specimen tracking, and voice and data communications.

The Web site also serves as an up-to-date resource for regulatory compliance and best practice information, particularly in the areas of DoD UID compliance; lockout/tagout; visual workplace/lean, brand protection; arc flash safety; emergency egress marking; short-circuit current rating; and slips, trips and falls prevention. A variety of whitepapers, case studies, reference guides, and testimonials are available for download, as well as Webcasts, videos, and editorial articles.
