Reading, Pa.-based Atlantic Energy Concepts recently designed and built an office building to showcase the energy-saving technologies it can offer its customers. The new facility's lighting system, controlled through motion sensors, was designed to consume 30% less wattage than allowed by the The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE ) and International Engineering Society ( IES) Standard 90.1-2001, which allows for a tax deduction through The Energy Policy Act of 2005.

The perimeter offices incorporate dimming ballasts and super T8 lamps, and the open office area uses T5 lamps and ballasts and bi-level switching.
