According to the new “World UPS Markets” analysis from Frost & Sullivan (www.powersupplies.frost.com), the UPS industry earned $5.92 billion in 2000. Since then, revenues have dipped, but they are expected to recover by 2003 and rise steadily through 2007.

“Continued energy crises could help stimulate the UPS markets,” says Frost & Sullivan industry analyst Farah Saeed. “End users now realize the importance of backup equipment in ensuring consistent and reliable power.”
