REC Solar will open its 11th office in California to meet the growing demand for solar in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. Residents of the Inland Empire can go solar with little to no upfront costs, saving money on their electricity bills immediately. REC Solar will hire up to 50 sales and marketing professionals in the Inland Empire region to meet local demand for solar.
“With abundant sunshine, the Inland Empire is an ideal place for clean, affordable solar energy to thrive,” said John Bumgarner, Regional Sales Manager for REC Solar. “REC Solar has already worked with over 150 homeowners in the region to install solar systems that reduce electricity costs. With a 100 percent satisfaction rate from local customers, we’ve made the decision to open a regional office and hire area residents to better serve this expanding market.”
Thanks to a partnership with solar financing company Sunrun, Inland Empire homeowners can go solar with no to low upfront costs and reduce their energy bills from day one. Area residents can also finance their solar installations through HERO Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing, a program sponsored by the Western Riverside Council of Governments that offers low cost, fixed rate financing for solar and efficiency home upgrades that is repaid through an assessment on homeowners’ property tax bill. As of spring 2013, more than 6,000 homeowners had been approved for HERO PACE financing.
