NFPA Donates $100,000 to International Association of Electrical Inspectors

Contribution supports IAEI’s capital improvement campaign.

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) donated $100,000 to the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) last month at NFPA’s 2014 Conference & Expo at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

NFPA’s donation supports IAEI’s capital improvement campaign. It will help IAEI obtain a more energy-efficient facility complete with infrastructure improvements such as a state-of-the-art training center for local and remote training, a complete resource library accessible to members and visitors, and modern publication and education work stations that will improve and expand IAEI products and services.

“NFPA works diligently to maintain the highest levels of electrical safety and IAEI has consistently demonstrated a shared commitment to that mission,” said Jim Shannon, NFPA’s president. “NFPA’s donation reflects our strong support of their efforts.”

“IAEI and NFPA have always had a strong partnership and shared mission of promoting electrical safety,” said David Clements, IAEI CEO/executive director. “NFPA’s generous donation is a gift that will help future generations of electrical professionals understand the importance of practicing safe installation and staying current with the National Electrical Code (NEC).”
