Faith Technologies Wins AGC's Construction Safety Excellence Awards Grand Prize
Company's program cited as nation's safest construction program in 2009
Menasha, Wis.-based Faith Technologies ran 2009's best construction program, according to the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), Arlington, Va. The association, which oversees the Construction Safety Excellence Awards, an annual ranking of construction safety programs, noted that 23 other companies were selected as first-place for the quality of their safety programs.
"There’s no better measure of a company's commitment to quality than the strength of their safety program," says Doug Pruitt, the association's past-president who announced this year's winners. "While completing magnificent projects is important, protecting hard-working employees is essential in this industry."Pruitt said Faith Technologies was selected as this year's grand prize winner because of its strong commitment to safety. He noted that the company went beyond the traditional approach to safety and health training for its workers. For example, it conducted extensive research into how different generations within the company learned best, and then tailored its safety programs to meet those needs.
